Book Character Pumpkin Patch
Every year, Mrs. Wiggins hosts a pumpkin patch in the library! Want to participate? Here's what you do:
We'll accept pumpkins throughout the month of October and they will need to be picked up by the last school day of the month. Any pumpkins not picked up will be thrown away. We'll also throw away pumpkins that start to rot.
Prizes will be awarded for most creative pumpkin in each grade level. Check out some of our former pumpkins below. You can also download a paper copy of the instructions and entry form.
- Choose your favorite story book character
- Get a small to medium pumpkin. It can be real or fake.
- Decorate your pumpkin to look like your book character by using acrylic paint, permanent markers, or glue to add things onto the pumpkin. Watercolors and spray paint don’t always work well.
- Pumpkins may not be carved, cut, or have holes poked in them as they can rot!
